Dick Cheney: Much to do about…

dare I say nothing? Is it our paranoia that every public official must tell us about every hiccup lest there be a coverup or conspiracy? Or is the ego of the DC press corp that inflated this issue?

I’m just amazed that this has grown into the issue it now is.

Here’s how I see it:

Hunters are out on a “hunting line” . One guy walks ahead of hunting line without informing fellow hunters. Guy who doesn’t follow hunting line procedures gets shot. End of story.

While I don’t think he HAD to tell anyone about this, Cheney should realize that when you are an elected official, your rights to privacy are pretty much over and you have to explain your every action, decision, etc. This is the same precedent for deciding libel cases…is the person a Public Figure or not?

Believe me…I’m no fan of the Bush regime. But a bumper sticker joke making the rounds kinda sums this up:

“I’d rather go hunting with Dick Cheney than driving with Ted Kennedy.”

When are we going to realize that BOTH parties suck and we need radical reform. Vote Libertarian and make things change.

Also, we need to make our voices heard to the mass (sometimes hysterical) media. Stop the sensationalism, the bias, the constant negative. Have the guts to end your broadcast on a higher level by showing us something good in the world. That course of action might just play in Peoria. (for marketing mavens)
